Inspection of British Standard Whitworth Thread Ring Gauges: The go end (T) thread ring gauge is inspected using the checking plug gauges TT and TZ; the nogo end (Z) is comprehensively inspected using the checking plug gauges ZT and ZZ.
Usage Method of British Standard Whitworth Thread Ring Gauges: A. The production workshop should use new or less worn go end thread ring gauges and nogo end thread ring gauges that are close to the wear limit; the acceptance department should use go end thread ring gauges that are close to the wear limit and new or less worn nogo end thread ring gauges. B. If the thread ring gauge used to determine that the external thread of the product is qualified complies with the relevant standard, then the external thread of the product is qualified. C. Without other agreements, the acceptance of thread ring gauges should be based on the checking thread plug gauges, and the provisions of items A and B should be complied with.
